Core Privacy Guarantee: Melyra is engineered as a local-first creation tool. Your videos, photos, and projects remain on your personal device. We do not operate a public feed or upload your media content to external servers.
1. Information We Collect and How We Use It
A. Device Permissions Requested
To enable core video creation features, Melyra requests permission to access certain device functions only when required:
- Camera Access: Used solely to allow you to capture photos and record video clips directly within the app.
- Microphone Access: Used solely to record audio when capturing video clips.
- Photos / Media Library Access: Used to import existing video clips and photos from your device into your Melyra projects, and to save exported final videos to your photo library.
Note: All camera feeds, audio recordings, and media imports are processed locally on your device.
B. Authentication & Account Identification
- Sign in with Apple: You may optionally sign in using Apple ID. Melyra receives an anonymous user identifier provided by Apple to manage your in-app experience (such as verifying eligible rewards or campaign configuration). We do not collect or store your real name, email address, or password.
C. In-App Purchases & Wallet Data
- Melyra processes purchases (such as Credits, Premium Glow, 4K Export) via Apple In-App Purchase (StoreKit). Transaction validation is handled directly by Apple. Melyra does not collect, handle, or store credit card numbers or financial account information.
2. How We Share Information
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data or media content with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
Minimal data is shared strictly under the following circumstances:
- Apple Platform Services: Processing in-app purchases via Apple App Store infrastructure.
- Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or governmental regulations.
3. Data Storage and Retention
- Local Processing & Storage: All project files, video clips, custom style presets, and exports remain 100% stored on your local device storage.
- User Control & Deletion: You can delete projects, clips, or clear app data at any time from within the app or by uninstalling the application.
4. Children's Privacy
Melyra does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can promptly take appropriate action.
